Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your use of TopThingsOnline.com ("TopThingsOnline", "we", "us", or "our"). By using the service or submitting a website or app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service or submit content. You must have the legal capacity and authority to enter into this agreement.
1. A discovery directory, not an endorsement
TopThingsOnline helps people discover independently operated websites and apps. Listings, rankings, votes, previews, and AI reviews are provided for general information. They are not endorsements, guarantees, professional advice, or certifications of quality, accuracy, legality, security, or suitability. You are responsible for evaluating any project before using it.
2. You are responsible for your submissions
You are solely responsible for every URL, title, description, claim, and other material you submit, including the website or app you link to. You represent that your submission is accurate and lawful, that you own or have all permissions needed to share it, and that it does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
You must not submit deceptive claims, impersonations, malware, scams, unlawful material, or content prohibited by our community guidelines. You remain responsible for updates to your project, its availability, its users, its business practices, and any products or services it offers. Submission or publication does not transfer your responsibilities to TopThingsOnline.
3. Permission to display your project
You retain ownership of your content. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display, and share the submitted material, and to create and display previews of the submitted website or app, for operating and promoting the directory. This permission does not transfer ownership of your brand or authorize us to sell your content as a standalone product.
4. Review, publication, and removal
We may review, decline, edit for presentation, restrict, or remove a submission, and may suspend access for abuse or violations. Publication, a particular ranking, continued availability, or a review deadline is not guaranteed. AI review may be incomplete or mistaken and does not replace your responsibility for submitted content or our obligations under applicable law.
5. Protecting the TopThingsOnline brand
The TopThingsOnline name, logo, original site design, and other service materials belong to us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Except as permitted by law or with prior written permission, you may not copy our branding, use it to imply sponsorship or affiliation, impersonate the service, or use confusingly similar branding. No trademark or ownership rights are granted by these terms. Third-party names, logos, and materials remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Acceptable use
Do not manipulate votes, submit spam, impersonate others, bypass security controls, disrupt the service, access private submission records without authorization, or use automated activity to abuse the directory. Normal linking and lawful references to the service are not prohibited.
7. Third-party websites and user content
Third-party websites, apps, offers, and user submissions are controlled by their respective owners or submitters, not by TopThingsOnline. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept responsibility or liability for their content, accuracy, ownership, safety, availability, conduct, or transactions. Visiting an external website or dealing with its operator is at your own risk and subject to its own terms and privacy practices.
8. No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and its information are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or freedom from harmful components.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TopThingsOnline and its operators are not liable for losses arising from user-submitted content or third-party websites and apps, or for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising from use of or inability to use the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or mandatory consumer rights. Where an exclusion is not enforceable, it applies only to the maximum extent the law allows.
10. Responsibility for claims
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify TopThingsOnline and its operators against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs resulting from your unlawful submission, infringement of the rights of others, or breach of these terms. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own unlawful conduct or to obligations that cannot lawfully be imposed on you.
11. Privacy and submission records
We record submission details, the browser user agent, the client IP address when reliably available from a configured trusted proxy, and the time and version of your acceptance. These private records support security, abuse prevention, and dispute handling. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
12. Changes and applicable rights
We may update these terms and publish a new effective date. Changes apply prospectively, subject to any notice or consent required by law; your existing statutory rights remain unaffected. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. These terms do not remove protections or remedies that apply under the laws governing your use of the service.
